The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F is a Vitamin C oil that helps brighten and balance uneven skin tone.
Why We Love It
This serum can be used day or night and gives an instant Vitamin C glow! It's stabilised and can brighten, target signs of ageing and give antioxidant protection.
Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant, brightens the skin tone and reduces signs of aging. Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is an oil-soluble derivative of Vitamin C that can be used in higher concentrations without drawbacks. It is one of the most stable derivatives of Vitamin C but, being a derivative, its potency will not be directly comparable to pure L-Ascorbic Acid. It is provided in this oil-format formula in combination with Vitamin F, also known as essential fatty acids. Aside from the general benefits of pure Vitamin C, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmiate has been shown to offer specific skin brightening benefits.

ROUTINE
Apply once or twice daily to the face, ideally at bedtime after cleansing and application of water-based treatments.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply 2-3 drops to face and massage until absorbed.
FOLLOW WITH
Heavier creams and balms if desired.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Deciem advises to proceed with caution if applying alongside Niacinamide (B3) as some people may find this combination irritating to the skin.

TETRAHEXYLDECYL ASCORBATE
Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THD) is a highly stable form of vitamin C that is considered an analogue of L-ascorbic acid. If the goal is targeting hyperpigmentation, research shows amounts of 5% or greater are necessary for best results.
SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL
This oil is a non-fragrant emollient extracted from the seeds of a drought resistant shrub. It can enhance skin’s restorative properties and can also provide topical skin-soothing benefits. It is a rich source of numerous fatty acids and antioxidants.
